In this event you can experience being a parishioner for a day at a shrine.  Parishioners live in the same region and believe in the gods of that land.  In brief, they are supporters of the shrine!

By taking care of the shrine together with local parishioners, you can learn about local shrines and feel the heart of Japanese people.

First, you will change into samue (work clothes) and snow clogs. Next, after a purification ritual, you will help maintain the shrine by cleaning usually off-limits areas and collecting monetary offerings. Once the cleaning is completed, you can walk along a freshly cleaned path to the shrine for a special visit. You can also receive direct instruction on worship practices from Shinto priests.

After returning to the shrine office, you will have the opportunity to make your own goshuin (red ink stamp). You can then have an offering with a Japanese sweets set as "Naorai"  while enjoying communication with the parishioner. There are also optional plans such as the experience of making amulets using hemp and rice cooked with bamboo.
